Performance of Universities in the United States of America

Abstract
As for many students, it is indispensable for them to choose universities. However, analyzing performances of universities is never an easy work because performance of universities depends on many factors and some of them are highly correlated. In this paper, we first collected high dimensional data on various factors that can influence the performance of universities and then principal component analysis (PCA) was used to obtain uncorrelated variables and decrease dimensions of data. Finally, we provided full rankings of 30 famous universities in USA based on the score we obtained.
